1.Types of design work carried out by the LOSBEL team
1.1.Custom design and standard projects
Our team of professionals is ready to take on the development of treatment plants with a capacity of up to 50,000 m3. Currently, we have experience in standard projects that can form the basis for the design of your sewage treatment plants. This will reduce the cost and development time of the project.
We have designed and built wastewater treatment plants in Belarus, the Russian Federation and Ukraine. In our treatment plants, we use equipment from the world's leading manufacturers of pumps, mechanical cleaning systems, automatic control systems, etc.
Additionally, whenever possible, we try to use materials from domestic manufacturers.
When is a project required?
The project is needed for the installation of sewage treatment plants of any capacity and for any purpose - a local sewage system for a school or a residential settlement, a sewage system for a village, shift camps for temporary housing, sewage treatment plants for small towns, etc. The range of Our design work ranges from 10 to 50,000 m3.
Wastewater treatment plants up to 240 m3 are delivered modularly from the factory. Each module is up to 40 m3 in full factory readiness and comes with a complete set. Our experts calculate the power required individually for each specific customer.
Sewage treatment plants over 240 m3 are erected directly on the ground. These are concrete treatment plants, the capacity of which is increased by the size of the bioreactor.
LOSBEL is the only manufacturer in the CIS area that has a European quality certificate confirming the declared standards for water purification.
Design in the field of water supply and sanitation
Despite the fact that the main activity of the LOSBEL company is the construction and design of treatment facilities, we have experience in the creation and implementation of projects of sewage pumping stations, water supply and drainage systems, storm sewers, fire-fighting water supply systems, iron removal stations, water wells and other engineering systems.
Why is it important to have the same team involved in the custom build and design?
Our designers are deeply involved in wastewater treatment. This means that not just water and canalization specialists will be involved in your project, but those who have multiple projects under their belt. We have standard processes in place that have proven themselves many times over. And although each project is custom, many working solutions have been validated by our experience. The team of our builders is controlled by our own in-house design engineers, process engineers, which prevents any deviations from the working documentation. Even at the stage of discussion, the Customer can be offered various options for the execution of treatment plants, where we suggest points of savings, and, on the contrary, indicate those points that are fundamental to our technology. You will not have to renegotiate the list of equipment during the implementation stage, because “we went over budget” or “there is not enough capacity”.
Therefore, having reached the moment of commissioning, you will not be faced with the news that launch specialists will suddenly discover many shortcomings in the previous stages - construction and design, the elimination of which will cost you as much as a new treatment plant. Custom, turnkey work is our responsibility at all stages from a verbal enquiry to launch.
3.Design stages: a complete package of turnkey LOSBEL services from draft to implementation
3.1 Collection of similar materials. Permit documentation.
At the initial stage, quantitative and qualitative introductory information is collected on incoming wastewater (the nature of pollution, chemical and biological features, the level of minimum and maximum discharges, water consumption rates in a given area, characteristics of the territories under consideration, features of weather conditions, location of water areas, fishery reservoirs and other options). It is also important to take into account the existing measures for sanitary water protection and the places of release, agreed with the state authorities. In the process of development of the territory, it is necessary to consider the possibility of further development, and, as a consequence, an increase in the load on the treatment plant.
To find the most optimal design solutions, it is important to take a comprehensive approach to assessing the existing needs of a settlement, climate characteristics, chemical composition of effluents and future needs of settlements. The actual situation as well as general and development plans of a city or settlement are reviewed.
3.2 Site survey for construction
We would like to note that the construction of sewage treatment plants using the LOSBEL technology does not require a traditionally large area for construction. In the case of using the indoor pavilion of the bioreactor, the sanitary zone is reduced to just 50 m. For the construction of a treatment plant using the LOSBEL technology, a natural reservoir or river is required to discharge the treated wastewater into nature. The distance to it, the slope of the terrain, the presence of obstacles, restrictions, sanitary zones, old sewage treatment plants, etc., are assessed.
3.3 Engineering and geological surveys
Engineering and geological surveys are regulated by standards
Engineering and geological surveys are carried out in accordance with SP 11-105-97 "Engineering and geological surveys for construction" and with SP 47.13330.2012 "Engineering surveys for construction". The methodology and scope of work is assigned in accordance with SP 11-105-97.
The methodology and scope of work is assigned in accordance with SP11_105_97.
GOST25100_11 is used to make a decision on what methodology for studying the soil, its composition, mechanical properties, and the selection of classes and groups.
The execution of engineering geodetic surveys is regulated by SP11_104_97. For topographic surveys, a scale of 1:500 is used.
The survey results are documented in a report, which also includes:
-
Physical-geographical and technogenic characteristics of the survey area.
-
Geological structure of soil and the soil properties.
-
Engineering and geological processes.
3.4 Formulation of the Terms of Reference for the design:
To get started with the designer, the Customer provides a complete and detailed technical assignment alongside the original documentation.
The customer also formulates the terms of reference, which indicate:
-
types of design developments,
-
technical and economic indicators,
-
design stages, requirements for effluent at the outlet,
-
chemical composition of effluent at the inlet.
At this stage, the architectural and design solutions for the implementation of the ABK building are discussed.
Approximate list of works:
-
Calculations of throughput are performed,
-
equipment is selected,
-
routes of supply and discharge of pipelines are planned,
-
technological schemes are being developed,
-
specifications of pipeline fittings and equipment layouts in the building are created.
3.5.Project development
Work on a wastewater treatment plant project can take place in one or in two stages. It depends on the wishes of the customer, the complexity of the project, the time required to prepare drawings and documentation. All these nuances are preliminarily negotiated with the Customer prior to starting work.
Single-stage design involves the simultaneous development of all documentation and drawings. Often this can be applied during the design process using typical wastewater treatment plant designs.
However, if the project is large and needs detailed study, the creation of a large number of construction drawings, statements, estimates and other things, the customer should expect a two-stage design.
In this case, the design process is divided into stages P and R.
At the "P" stage, the state examination occurs. The successful result of the examination is a positive conclusion and the obtaining of a building permit. In case of refusal, otherwise a negative conclusion, the project is returned for revision and to eliminate defects. Submission for re-examination then follows.
Designing at the project stage makes it possible to get creative with the implementation of the architectural solution of the administrative building. LOSBEL encourages customers to be brave. Let's not only make the world cleaner, but also decorate it with what we have built. At an equal cost, an ABK building can be very modern and in line with the latest trends in architecture.
3.6.Expertise
A positive expert opinion ensures safety and guarantees the verification of building structures and technological solutions. The law prescribes that when state budget funds are allocated for the construction of treatment facilities, the project documentation is verified by state expertise. The work of the state examination is regulated in accordance with the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation of March 05, 2007 No. 145 (subparagraph "g" of paragraph 13).
Non-state expertise is carried out in the case of construction of sewage treatment plants at the expense of the Customer's own funds in accredited legal entities. The result of the examination is at the expert’s decision. The expert decision of a non-governmental body is legitimate along with the conclusion of the state construction expertise.
3.7.Creation of working drawings for construction
Working documentation is created for the construction of treatment facilities. It is developed to the extent necessary for the construction of all treatment plant systems. In accordance with GOST (governmental standards), drawings are made for certain systems:
-
electricity and water supply;
-
water disposal;
-
heating, ventilation, heating networks;
-
gas supply;
-
communication networks and others.
-
Also included in the list of documentation are:
-
specifications for materials, equipment;
-
product specification;
-
attached lists of construction and installation works;
-
statements on the need for structures, parts and materials
That is, the working documentation fully describes the process of construction of treatment facilities in the most detailed study. The constructed object must fully comply with the working documentation.
3.8.Estimated documentation
To allocate financing for construction and installation work for treatment facilities, it is necessary to prepare estimates of work and materials. All items of expenditure are compiled in estimates:
-
The cost of materials,
-
the cost of construction and installation work,
-
the cost of machinery and equipment use.
-
Specification of materials, equipment and products
The amount of the estimate directly depends on the design solution. Therefore, at the stage of discussing the project, we offer our customers various options.
The design decision affects the economic indicators of the future costs of operation and maintenance of treatment facilities, as well as reconstruction, if necessary.
4.Design standards for sewage treatment plants
When developing design documentation, specialists are guided by industry standards, which spell out construction requirements - building codes and SNiP rules, instructions on sanitary and hygienic rules for wastewater disposal are spelled out in SanPiN.
The main document for the implementation of design work is SP 32.13330.2012 Sewerage. External networks and facilities. This document indicates the minimum distances to residential buildings, etc.
Hygienic requirements for wastewater discharged into water bodies after treatment are specified in SanPiN 2.1.5.980-00 "Hygienic requirements for the protection of surface waters".
SanPin 2.2.1 / 2.1.1.1200-03 "Sanitary protection zones and sanitary classification of enterprises, structures and other facilities" establish hygienic requirements for the size of sanitary protection zones depending on the sanitary classification of enterprises, structures and other facilities, requirements for their organization and landscaping, grounds for revising these dimensions.
Our designers have studied these regulatory documents in detail and apply them in accordance with the customer's requests.
5.Why is it worth working with LOSBEL?
Why should the design of treatment facilities be carried out by technical designers with experience in such projects?
A complex biochemical reaction takes place within the wastewater treatment plant. These processes must be carefully calculated. Lack of equipment will lead to ineffective wastewater treatment, and an overabundance will inflate the estimated cost, as well as the costs of its subsequent operation.
Our designers are very closely familiar with LOSBEL technology. Close cooperation with the technologist leads to optimal capacity calculations and minimal costs to the consumer.
Also, the design features utilized by LOSBEL specialists aim to minimize the occupied treatment areas. As a result, the LOSBEL technology allows to reduce the sanitary zone of the sewage treatment plant to 50 meters.
During discussions of the preliminary project, we always try to minimize costs for the Customer and offer only the most optimal solutions.
LOSBEL executes turnkey construction of treatment facilities.
